Communication and Socialisation Skills
Foster Increased Independence
Communication, and the ability to receive and convey information around needs and wants, and interpreting social cues and communication, is fundamental to people with Autism. Our aim is to develop and maintain appropriate social behaviors and practices in community and group settings, whether it be verbal or using alternative communication methods such as PECS. All our activities focus on this aspect.
Improve Social Interactions
Our high staff to member ratio allows us to communicate extensively with each individual. This not only develops the range of interactions and communication within our members, but also increases their trust in the people around them, that their needs, thoughts and actions are of value, and that they are listened to. Verbal and non-verbal communication skills are integrated into all our activities.
Enrollment and Fees
Enrollments are done through interviews and a trial visit to ensure best fit of the programme to the applicant. There is a monthly fee for enrolling into the day programme or the Group Home.
